Hi,

I have the following setup in my land rover.
An STC8383E - Land Lover Power steering box 4 bolt --> together Toyota 1HD-T.
Does anyone know if this power steering box can handle the pressure of the oil pump from the 1HD-T?

Kind Regards,
Rene

No idea. This is a Discovery steering box? The Discovery had a V8 engine when new, probably not so different in HP than the 1HD-T. I'd be more concerned about that engine in an ancient LR, which would make no sense, yes you would kill that old steering box.

I would say you should give it a try, they aren't a super-expensive part aftermarket if you fail.

The correct answer would be to measure pressures with an inline gauge with the original LR, and then measure again with the LC engine. I doubt you're setup to do that.
