Got this message today:

Toyota is the Official Vehicle at the upcoming AMA National Motocross in
Worthum, TX on June 6.

We would like to offer the opportunity for all Texas Landcruiser Owners to come
out and display their FJ's. There would be no charge for the space and we have a
huge footprint.

You going? Wortham, TX. is just south of Corsicanna. Not too far.

iNTERESTING! last official word was that Toyota had no desire to maintain 20 year old cars.Is this a change of policy? Might be worth going to. MIke

The key phase is FJ's.
Most non cruiserphiles dont know that "FJ" covers every landcruiser in the states.
I think they are looking for FJC's not FJ's....but I could be wrong.

If the gulf states manager does not know his trucks that is a huge blunder! MIke

I'm in!! I may have had 3 knee replacements from motocross, but I would do it again if I could. Keep the details posted!! Plus it is just the right distance for a top off road trip in the 40's....

6/6 I'm out. That is the same day as the races at TMS.
I will be in the infield on the motorhome roof with frosty beverage.
Ya'll take lots of pics.

I guess I'll be there in spirit....
That weekend is the Unplanned, Unsanctioned, and Ill-Advised event in Hot Springs.

Y'all may remember that the first weekend in June is usually the Razorback Ramble. The local club canceled the event in favor of the GATOR event. It appears lots o' folks already had vacation time planned. With no planning, we have 70 trucks committed and the campground is full.
;-)
Happy Trails! N

I'm planning on it. I'm in Houston all week but I should be back to go to this.

I am planning on being there and trying to get Chris to ride shotgun. What time is everyone getting there?

Update: I emailed Rick back about the particulars. Here's his response:

"To late at this point. Admission would have been free and we would have had a
large area set aside for the group. "

I emailed him back and told him that I had told him we were coming. He said he had never gotten that response. Everybody is still free to go obviously, just without any fanfare from Gulf States. Oh well.

So where do we stand on this? Still free? Can we be togeather? Mike

No. The guy was a dick. I guess I should have confirmed with him earlier since I never heard back, but I didn't realize there was a deadline. I assumed there would be other Cruisers there.
Everyone is still free to go. I haven't decided yet if I'm going now or not. I may cruise over to Hot Springs instead.

Going to do a little sky diving instead? :D:D:D

Let me know if you make a wheeling trip, I am wanting to take out the new 40.

Skydiving with Jason is not a visual that I want in my head or on my facebook. No pun intended. :grinpimp:

Wish I could go to either event but I'm out of town. I won't make the meeting either. It is next Thursday right?

I hope to have some LC sightings while I'm in Alaska.

over and out.
