I own a business specializing in Land Cruisers. Call me crazy, but I want to paint all the interior walls in different factory Cruiser colors. Like my office in Capri Blue, lobby in Sky Blue, halls in Cygnus White, bathrooms in Breathe green, etc... I (my wife) have tried contacting a couple of paint places locally to see if we can use the factory color codes and mix up some interior paint. But they are saying it cant be done. I dont know what the big deal is, but Im certainly no paint expert. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on this? :meh:

I'm not sure, but one way would be to scan a color from somewhere online. Print it till it looks like a correct color. Then bring that to a paint store. At least at the lowes around home, then have a scanner which scans a "palate" and then makes a can of it. This may get you there. One color is definitely the grey 62 color. It's the best. :)

As said, most places have the ability to scan a paint chip and match the color. But "house" paint isn't going to have the same bases and tints as automotive paint so they cannot work directly from the color formulation.
