hi, I'm looking the part on the picture, I don't know the actual name. I'm told it came in some JDM 70 and 80 series with the OEM bull bar.

No that is a typical JDM thingie I guess, I only have parts from European spec Cruisers.

I was under the impression that the rubber pad was fairly common on the LJ78's if that helps you narrow your search.

It seems to be common on those models but nobody seems to have it.

the ones how have it, are selling the truck and they want to sell it with that part. Although some of them offer to talk with the new owner to see if the want to sell it.

Perhaps a stupid question, but other than displaying the Land Cruiser name, which is kinda cool, what is the purpose of the device.

I’m not aware of any other use, but I like it better than the hood bonnet emblem hehehe.
