Ladder idea...anyone try yet?

Still need a ladder to get up to the roof rack. Saw this on a 60 series and thought it may work. I have a kaymar rear bumper and a hannibal rack. Looking into welding some sort of connections so I could bolt the ladder on so it would not be permanent. Any thoughts or ladder ideas that don't include another pivot/latch off the rear bumper.

if you go from the bumper to the roof rack you really should include two pivots at the bottom and a link with 2 pivots at the top to let you body mounts work without loading, the pivots can be very simple just a greased bolt in a close fitting pipe or bushing will do
