Thay are most likley going to wait tell after launch,Let the "got to have it nows " do alott of it....Next week or so will prob start seeing advertising

i think this has been discussed to some degree, but anyways, seems as though the "advertising" their doing is word of mouth right now. what better advertisement than to get it in the hands of enthusiasts and have them say that it does better than their built 62 in some spots?

who would be better to sell you a fj? toyota or fellow board members you trust saying it's very capable and well built?

if they don't sell as expected there will probably be advertising, but why waste money on something that might sell itself?

I read an article that stated Toyota will do nothing but print ads in publications aimed at wheeling. They do not want to upset their "green" image with the general public. Think Prius.

So far that seems to be very true as that is the only place I have seen ads.

all good points i guess and makes sense since the only ads i have seen is in petersons 4wd and here ?

I like them but dont know i would have to get rid of one of my other trucks too many

Plus any advertising at this point might be too effective and prospective customers will be running to dealerships with no inventory.

The advertizing is going to be more some written stuff in the mags, a big booklet that will be at the dealers, the biggest piece is the Trail Teams that will be running around the country. We will be letting anyone that wants to drive it on the trails we will be at. Then pics from Warren Miller film production will be posting web film on line, the teams will writing impressions of the rig on different trails as we do them. The web page that will launch on the 27th of april will be having a calander of where the 3 teams will be.
Only a few words on the FJ Crusier, It was real fun driving the one that issued to me on the trail today. It was a blast to drive, handled every thing we threw at it today. Yes it has the TRD wheels and BFG AT tires, traction was great on the bentonite soil we were on. I can not wait to get to some of the trails on the schedule we have in the next few months. I am going to have a really fun time drive this over the next few months.
I may not be till friday before I can post again. We did not get tonight until 8pm , and I expect to stay out much longer on thursday for training.
It is a bad ass little truck. later robbie
