Hi all,

I've found a 99 100 series that sounds like just what I want...it's in Brentwood. Anyone willing to check it out for me for gas $$ and a jug of whiskey before I pop for a SW flight?

Unreal! I'm basically just wanting to know how clean it is...it sounds good but I'm a picky bugger. If I had someone tell me that it's super clean (Int & Ext) and just do a quick visual check for the obvious (CV's, gaskets etc) I'd fly down tomorrow and and pick it up. Can you call me or hit me offline? :bounce:

thx much!

Look out- Possibly Wantacruiser wants the cruiser you're thinking about. I smell a bidding war.

you could be right but I gotta believe in cruiser karma...I've never been screwed by a fellow cruiserhead and if I do, then that truck wasent meant for me and I'm sure the cruiser gods will deal with it thier own way ;)

Doing it for the whiskey is my guess! :D

well, I already have a cruiser. I just didn't know how to change my username. I bought an 01 100 in August. I don't know how to check engine stuff though and I don't even know what the CV is. But I can check to see if I think the car has been well taken care of. A clean interior and exterior doesn't tell the tale of whether or not it's been taken care of. But if you want me to take a look at it, I'd be more than happy to. I could at least let you know if it's worth it for you to look into it further or if you're just wasting your time.

if you tell me what I should look for in the engine, I will look for those things...otherwise you'll have to go by what I just stated above.

I purchased a 2000 about a year ago 750 miles from home. Before purchasing a SW ticket, I got the seller agreed to buy my return ticket it the vehicle wasn't everything he said it was. I also got the Toyota dealership who allegedly performed the maintenance to fax me the computer printout history. I ended up buying it. At the time of purchase, I said I got it at a good price but wouldn't know if I got a good deal until a year or two went by with no major problems. So far, so go. jp

So dieselbigot, did you like the car? I hope my assessment of it was accurate. I would feel terrible if you turned out to be disappointed by it.

Robert...based on your description and the service records I put a deposit on the truck. The people have ordered a new LX470 so I won't go to pick it up until thier new rig comes in so I still havent seen it. They told me if I did'nt like it I could get my deposit back. Thanks again for doing this for me...very cool! Please email me your address so I can send you a 2005 Cruiser calendar. Also, could you email me the pics you took?

Thx
