Did you ask at Spector? I just got the 3B compressor mount and pulley from them. Very reasonable too! I paid G&S almost twice what Spector charged me for the same thing a couple of years ago.

How much do you want to pay for the radiator? If it's to suit an auto trans application, I might be able to get a hold of one locally.

As little as po$$able...Need for stick, but could use trans cooler for oil/steering cooler???

Whats he looking to get for it?

Your AC search

I too am looking for a complete AC system for my HJ-60 24 volt cruiser. I notice that you've had 7 repliies and I've had none :frown:. If you find what you need and still get some offers could you please send them my way and let me know how you came out? Thanks, Navcruiser

I'm not sure how it is with the HJ60 but the BJ60 uses a VERY common compressor. I bought one at NAPA a few years ago for $200. The FJ60 pulley/clutch assembly is also good for the BJ60 as well. You may want to check that out before you go spending big dollars for an "HJ60 specific" compressor that is the same as a cheaper vehicle.

fyi the one for the BJ60 is the same as many Toyota cars and Acura/Honda cars of the same vintage, you only need to swap the pulley for the correct offset and that's where the FJ60 compressor comes in. Here's a picture of the 3B A/C compressor mount, idler and crank pulley mounted on the 3B in the FJ45LV.

You can get a radiator from Cruiser LLC and take it to a local radiator shop. They will have to switch the side of the radiator cap. It's not a big deal. I did the same thing. Navcruiser

Thanks, Thats exactually what I had done, But she is running a bit hot in the summer and rather than spending the money to have it looked at and possibly rodded out, I figured replacement was better and keep the conversion for a spare

Thx C

I am not sure if the HJ-60 compressor is common with anything elso or not. If you dont have on yours...Mine came with mount only, compressor was missing, but bolts to the LT, top of block...about even with the head.
I do have a compressor in route to my (thanks to a very nice fellow mudder) I now have to source a idler and hoses, Have a dryer from the FJ (unsure if it will work)

had another mudder offer up another pump after I commited to the other...if someone is looking

I used FJ60 parts. I purchased them all for $150. The heater core items are all identical. I fabricated a bracket to use the FJ60 compressor with the HJ60 and had custom hoses made at my local hose supply shop. Total cost was $350 US dollars out the door and took less than a day to install.

The only thing I had to source that was unique was a 12 volt BJ60 amplifier that I wired using my 12 volt converter. This is the circuit board that turns the AC off and on. I did this because I wanted the protection features it offers (turns itself off if there is icing). When AC is turned on, all it does is activate the magnet that turns the air compressor, and that it is. The other electrical items are auziliary/sensors that are an emergency protection system to turn the system off (in the event of icing). But these items are not required and it is not unsafe if you use it without these protections. I suppose I was just anal. I was also told they do not even sell this part any more (the BJ60 AC amplifier). You can install the FJ60 system, and use a simply push button that turns the magnet off and on, and you would have a completely functional AC system... This is what I would recommend...
