KZJ95 ALTERNATOR

I’m in the US and my alternator is dying. It looks like they’re still available new OEM from Toyota Japan, at the cost of almost $1000.

Will any other series alternator work? Maybe from an 80 series???

I love the 1KZTE but sourcing parts has been a PITA and expen$ive.

I’m open to rebuild kits, if available.

Have you tried Partsouq or Megazip? Both great for OEM parts. May be pricey tho.

There are aftermarket brands on Ebay Australia for a $2-300. Online auto have a 99.9% rating

I tried both spots. Crazy expensive. Ended going with an aftermarket brand.

I got one from RareElectrical.com. It was cheap and seems to be okay. Seems they are offshore as I had to pay duty to get it to BC.
