Hey All,

It has been ages since I have posted a thread on here.

My Prado is in need of a birthday, it is starting to drift on the road so I am starting with springs and shocks and a bush kit.

I am looking at replacing the springs and shocks on my 1993 KZJ78 Prado. It has currently got a 4" spring lift but these have sagged. I am looking at going to a 2-3" lift and wondering what brands or suppliers people on here would recommend. The current springs are cobras from Chamberlains which I believe are prone to sagging over due time.

I have got a winch on the front so would need something heavy duty.

Can someone please recommend what they would recommend I use or who I can talk to?

Cheers,
Mike

I recently had some new rear springs made by Archers in Rotorua - I took them the old ones, told them how much lift I wanted & how much stiffer & they produced a custom pair for the same price as off the shelf lift springs would cost. Only done about 1000km on them but going good so far.

For shocks I got some OME Nitrocharger sports, pretty well damped compared to others I've used so great for road handling. Not sure if they do the slightly uncommon Prado eye top pin bottom fitment though, my rig is a bit modified so mine are just eye/eye.

Cheers
Clint
