KZJ78 Heater Core Replacement

Hey folks, busted heater core last week and looking for any info on replacement. Bypass is good for now but heading to colder weather soon enough. Anyone find any threads on replacement? Hoping for a tip, but expecting it to be a case of beer type of job. Any chance to avoid A/C cooler system and complete dash removal?

Hi there I just done mine, had to remove everything bar the AC unit.
Plenty of patience required.

Thanks for reply! Any tips? Did you start with dash (top) or work from the bottom up? Good news with A/C system then. I’m assuming heater assembly separates from A/C assembly pretty easily? All I have is parts diagrams, no manual.

Hi there I started from the bottom and worked my way up, my son helped me lift the dash out of the way as it's a two person lift, one each side to prevent any damage.
Take plenty of pictures as you go.
It was pretty easy putting everything back together.
