Anybody here have any experience with adding a block heater to their Prado (part #, where to buy, etc.)?
I live at about 8200 feet in Colorado and it is COLD right now.
Seems like I could make my truck’s life a lot happier if I added a heater.

I couldn't find any information on a block heater for the KZJ78. I think you can knock out a Frost plug and put in a generic one. I ended up just putting a stick on oil pan heater to get me through the winter this season and then will install a Frost plug heater in when I drain the coolant in the spring. Putting in a lower rad hose heater is a waste of time because of the t stat st the lower rad hose. If you find something for the kzjKZ let me know I'm keen for a block heater as well. The oil pan heater definitely helps with winter starts. I live at 1300m in the Rockies

We are definitely thinking the same right now!
During the last couple of days looking I have come to the conclusion that I would do a stick on oil pan heater for right now (won’t use it long term because of oil break down concerns) and then fit a generic plug in when I get a chance to be under the truck (I believe the plug is somewhere close to the starter)
Thanks for the response!
