Hello All!!,
Yup I have a strange issue on my KZJ78 the ATP warning light comes on when braking...it will stay on for a bit sometimes while the brakes are are still applied and then go slightly dim and go off or if I remove my leg of the brakes the light goes off imediately....
Anyone seen this issue happen before?? Can I try to check something if there is like a short in the wiring somewhere??
Please help!!!

Just to update..my bad...its the A.T. Oil Temp light that comes on when braking.
The car is an automatic and now also noticing a dim glow occasionally on the same when driving at night, so I guess it does come on dimly at times but not always. As I noticed it in the night the other day when I took it out for a spin.

Even when parked and pressing on the brake to change the gear it will light up bright.

Ideas anyone???????

Sounds like a bad ground, as mentioned before.

I'd have a look at a wiring diagram and see if there's a common grounding wire for that circuit.

Most likely area to look is going to be somewhere around the tail lights where the bulb holders and bulbs are exposed to moisture, or where the plugs for the tail light circuits are found, or at the transmission "PRNDL" switch (usually on the side of the transmission).

Also, check that don't have bulb out somewhere or a fuse blown.
