I've got an EX prado with a Jap radio, I'm trying to replace with a Sony unit. I've figured out all the wires except the aerial.
The head unit has a blue 12v signal wire output for the aerial, but the aerial is the +/- switching variety, not the three wire (grnd, +12 constant, +12v signal) type. I've tried putting 12v to what should be the signal wire in the loom, but no joy. I can hear a relay clicking somewhere in behind the dash, I'm guessing some sort of DPDT relay, but I'm not too sure where it is, or how to go about getting it to work with a single +12v signal radio??
Any clues?
