Hi Guys,

The 1996 90 series is available for import into Canada now and the wife needs a new car. I'm curions how this little kzj turbo diesel performs especially with an auto box.

We're looking for a freeway and hilly driver and may need to consider a gas instead. Also tow tent trailers

My current 1HZ is no freeway machine.

Your thoughts would be welcome indeed,

Cheers,

John

John i can tell you for a fact that the KZJ95 is a solid performer with an autobox... you will be suprised at the GO factor :hillbilly: with the vehicle... i have a LJ95 GX as well and the KZJ95 TZ out performs and out accelerates it in any situation... :steer: only downside may be fuel economy but it should be much better than the 1HZ...

A few years ago i had a 95 with the 1KZ-TE 125hp turbodiesel, manual gear though.
This was a great car, i drove it from 200k-300k km over 3 years, and i cant remember fixing anything... and i have the disease that makes me fix things that are not broken...
Oh- there was one thing, broke a front swaybar link, rusted off/broke on bad road.
And it moves fairly ok. Intercooler, diesel adjustment and 3" exhaust helps alot and really makes it fast.
