Going to try and get a shake down run on the 4Runner at KS Rocks before SMORR. Thinking 26 July? I really don't want to drive it out and have something go very, very wrong. I need to find a trailer. before I commit to this outing.

Hmm. Last time I went, we had a blast. I should have my sliders that weekend but I don't know if I'll be able to commit to it at this point.

Make sure you hit the mud

Not going to get the trailer done in time to drag the 4Runner to KS Rocks. Looks like I'm taking the Samurai. I'm going to try and get there around 8ish.

you can borrow mine. one fender is ripped off right now (blow a tire last weekend has 2 new ones, another great reason for drive over fenders preaty much damage proof) a the other is removable if needed. it's a long drive over here to pick it up but thought i would offer.

So, I just got a speeding ticket the other morning so my funds are being reallocated for the time being....

Take some pics and post 'em on when you're done!

You and your sporty 6 cylinders!! :)

DDDAAAAAAMMMMM!!!!!! Wish I'd seen this sooner. I've been away from the net this past week. Friday night through Saturday mid day at the Lake of the Ozarks. Moved to Bass River Resort for an adult float trip until Tuesday mid day. Back to the lake until about two hours ago. Thanks for the offer.

I need to do some measuring to estimate cost of trailer addition.

It's lightening me by at least $300
OOOOOOUUUUCCCHH!!!!!! WY Highway Patrol clocked me running 85 in a 65. That only set me back $100. Were you in a School or construction zone?

Well I should say to double it up will be, $300.

I wish I would gotten nailed where you were!
No school zone or anything. Just bad timing cause I had just gotten on it to pass Haha

The cop jumped out in the middle of the road. Pretty ballsie with 6k lbs barreling down on you

At the last minute I changed my mind and took the 4Runner. Two primary reasons: 1. Heat and 2. Parker. Well that and I wanted to play with my new toy. I drove it out to KS Rocks, wheeled, and drove it back.
It was for the most part, uneventful. I aired down, and locked the lockouts, like clockwork. Biggest issue was the loose nut behind the wheel. For example, the first hill I attempted I watched one rig head up and have issues at the top. The next rig had less issue in the same location. I stared up and never made it to where they were having issues. Heck I barely made 10’ up. Duah. Lockers! Hit the ARBs, rear and front and still nothing. Backed down, went to a lower T-Case, with lockers and tried again. Same result. Back down again. Lower T-Case again. Same result. WTF? A quick scan across the dash and the issue is resolved. Not in 4x4.
No carnage to speak of. New pen stripes rubbing from passenger second door handle to the tail light. Thank God for the hoops protecting the tail lights. It rubbed hard enough to pull the paint off the hoop. New chalk marks on front and rear axles, rear drive shaft and rear lower arms.

. .so after you got in 4x4, how did she perform?

Just fine! I did feel a bit tipsy on a trail or two heading down. Mainly the rear end coming up. Hiking a leg, if you will. It was nice to have the lockers on demand, and two T-Cases (though I never doubled both down). Getting used to an Auto Trans will take some time. Along with the width, length and weight difference. Holy Crap the weight in the 4Runner is night and day different. Then again, so is the horse power. I won't have to start wheeling from the beginning, I do have a lot to learn with the 4Runner.
