Greetings,

Working on my new (to me) 100, and I want to clean up the rust on the frame. My thoughts are simply wire brush well & put Krylon Rust Tough on it. I think it's better than nothing, but am I correct?

Does the stuff really inhibit rust like it claims to? I don't mind doing it every year (I have access to a lift.)

Your thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks Pegasis. I too am from SW Ohio; the product site shows no places within 50 miles of me. Is there a supplier that you would recommend? Also - do you use their exact steps: ie: Marine Clean degreaser, then Prep & Ready, then Rust Preventative Paint, THEN topcoat? Or do you use a topcoat at all? I've not heard of this product, so please tell me your experience with it. Is it brush-on, or ?
Thanks again.

It's Brush on or spray on, prep is important, some shops say don't worry about using an encapsulator or heavy duty cleaner first but I would and also take the extra time to prep and what ever you do DONT let it dry on your skin!!! Lol I learned the hard way :)

Yeah nothing local in SW Ohio - have called around to no avail. Amazon sells it as does the manufacturer's website.

I have used the prep before but also had success not prepping.
