Running a 2021 HE on the stock Dunlop’s, which contain and M + S marking on the side. Do 95% of my driving in non-snow conditions, but do go into the mountains a few times a year and have been able to avoid chain requirements because of the M + S marking on my tires.

Can’t seem to find a good picture online - do the KO2s have this marking? I like the look of them and want to get a set but also want to have the M+S marking so I can avoid chaining up.

Also, not really related, but would I buy the KO2s in the same size as the stock heritage Dunlop’s I have (285/60/r18)? Haven’t modified/lifted the vehicle in any way so I assume I’d just get the same size but want to make sure before I spend the money.

Has M+S on it. I have stock size on mine.

Some KO2’s have the 3 mountain peak symbol (as shown in pic above with the snowflake) that indicate it is a “traction tire” to satisfy some requirements. Not all KO2s are 3MP rated though, need to research the specific tire you want before you buy, even in the size you indicate above, there are different load ranges. I believe it is the DT (different tread) that are not snow rated.

Staying with the stock size of 285/60R18, the only option with BFG AT KO2 is, per Tire Rack:

All-Terrain T/A KO2 - Size: LT285/60R18

  • Size: LT285/60R18
  • Style: Raised White Letter
  • Load Range: D
  • Serv. Desc: 118/115S
  • UTQG: None
  • Mile. War.: 50,000 Miles
  • Severe Snow Service Rated
