Anyone have one of these I can borrow, since I am mix and matching parts on my coil conversion I don't have a baseline to start with on the shims.

Thanks

I just finished replacing the knuckle (trunnion) bearings in my front axle, and I am not sure what "centering tool" you are looking for. I installed the new inner races with a hammer and a bearing race tool, then put on the knuckle arm and upper bearing cap and checked the pre-load with a fish scale. The bearing sets I bought came with a range of shims. The SST shown in the manual is for pressing out the races, which I did with a drift and a hammer.

Fyi... The 80 series one is not compatible with 40, 60, and 70 series which needs another tool.

Luckily only 2... One for the 40s, 60s, and 70s, and another for the 80 series.

Upon talking with georg at valley hybrids, he advised its a waste of time, the 80 series are fairly forgiving and he runs all his with no shims at all...ill take his word for it.
