Knuckle Bearing Centering Gauge

Last time I did my knuckles, I did not preload the bearing right. $OR sell the OEM tool, but I don't have the cash to buy it now. How else can the correct preload be achieved? OR...any body have the tool they would like to rent to me?

preload has nothing to do with the knuckle centering tool

A fish scale will help set knuckle preload

typically, if you are not replacing the knuckle, but just replacing the bearings, and keep the shim locations straight, you can just put the shims back where they belong and you don't need to use the centering tool.
