Kiwimidi, in your post to Readers Rides, you said you have a CT26 hybrid turbo in your BJ74. Care to tell us about it? Do you get a higher output, better spool up, etc.?

The spring over conversion looks good, BTW.

Dave

i did not fit it to the truck but from what i understad its a CT26 commonly found on a celica. with the compressor housing from the origonal turbo. It also has a cermaic wheel.

It spools up at about 1900 rpm with heaps of power at 6 psi day to day and up to 14psi when i need the extra grunt.

being a bigger turbo even at standard boost its flowing a higher cubic capacity of air. the front mounted intercooler makes a heap of diffrence too.

Hi Kiwimidi and welcome to the forum.
How about some pics of your SOA and also are you happy with the airlockers?

Some more pics of your mods would be welcomed by all:idea::cool:

Cheers, kiwimidi.

Yeah, pics of your suspension would be appreciated.

Dave

I wil post some pics asap i left the camers at work tonight though.

i am really happy with the air lockers. the front one does cause a few problems and hairy incidents when you loose traction climbing a hill it tends to swing around side ways easiley you need to have your whits about you. as far as traction goes in 2wd the rear locker is as good as putting it in 4wd

Hi Kiwimidi, welcome to the board. Please feel free to do a write up on your turbo(custom) over in Diesel Tech. They love to talk turbos over there :)
