Installed drawers with T-handles and sprayed with U-pol Raptor liner tinted with Monstaliner color pigment.

Still need to add three Macs Versatie tie down tracks and a front chrome 90 trim moulding piece, but they turned out great. Thanks @cruzerDave!

Looks great Jexx, for the T-handle locks, did you notch an opening underneath the drawer tops for the cylinder to slide into?

I am just getting started on my set in a warm basement. My first excuse for not installing right away was the snow and cold garage, but then thought I needed more room in the far back for more duck and goose decoys because the wet dogs take up the back seat. Yeh, thats a better excuse.
I have some ideas for movable cooler anchor points but am a long way from testing. Will post if it works out.

Dave, do you have an option to sell only the plans for the DIY?

Congratulations to @milkyxj, for blazing the trail and adapting a set of 100 Series KISS drawers into his 200 series:

KISS Drawers (Keep It Simple Storage) For 100 Series

200 KISS drawers

Based on his work, and emails I've received, I have decided to create a 200-specific set of KISS Drawers next.

To do this I am asking for your help in finding:

1) a test mule in Central Oregon to measure, and work with me testing the fit of pieces as I iterate & set up production,

2) Information on ANY differences in rear design, trim, options, or changes, Land Cruiser or LX, that might affect the design.

If you're interested in being the test mule, please PM me or email landsharkoutfitters@gmail.com.

If you know of any differences, or positively no changes, on anything from row 2 seat reclining to row 3 brackets to subwoofer boxes to whatever lease post here, so that anyone looking to build their own drawers someday can also benefit.

If you're unfamiliar with KISS Drawers please check out the website:

or either of these threads:

Thanks!

Still no test mule but I want to hash out two things here that anyone interested with a tape measure can do, plus a little community debate...

1) width between fenders. It sounds like current setup is a titch too wide, but can we get a few numbers from a few different years to confirm that they are the same, and what the smallest point between them is?

2) This is where the community debate kicks in - sleeping height. I sized the current setup to be the perfect height for the 100 series, which fold almost flat. The 80 seats keep a healthy angle so you really need either a whole dedicated platform or (the simple way) a foam or air mattress to help level it out. But I have no idea on the 200s- if a few people could take pictures of their seats folded, how high the rear of the seat is and the front, maybe even with a straight edge or t-square to help us all visualize, it would be great.

If we see a slant to the seats the question then becomes how we deal with it - taller drawers (lower headroom when sleeping) vs extra padding on the drawers, sloping up to the top of the seats (a bit of an angle then)?

Thanks!

Sorry no, 3 reasons: 1) there is a LOT of time and even many $'s in the R&D and process to get to a product, which takes full set sales to recover over time. And 2) the tolerances on the wood require CNC or a truly expert wood-worker. (and an expert wood-worker will probably be happier with their own design and custom tweaks anyway : ) The finalpiece is that if you price out the cost to set up and then CNC wood, ship the aluminum, and buy one-offs instead of at the quantities I do you would be looking at well over what I charge. This is a side/fun gig for me, not a business, otherwise a proper price would be about $899...

NIce work, they look amazing! How are the slides? Is the action smooth even when the drawers are loaded, and are the drawers solid/stable when fully extended as they would be with a conventional steel slide?

I am toying with the idea of building a small work shelf that would extend from the drawer but not sure how solid it is and if cantilevering additional weight off the end would be viable?

Mine have been installed for a couple of weeks. They are a bit sticky the first dozen times opening/closing but they are a fantastic solution to organization and I’ve received many compliments. Had line-x spray the exterior in black

Am I missing something? How can I order? Would love to have a set for my 200 AND my 60.

You have to go to the store section.

Are there plans to make a set to fit in 60 Series? If so, sign me up.

My boys are fans of the design! Here they are “making it square.”
