King 2.5 Front Shock Preload and Lift Height (1 Viewer)

Hi there, I'm in Australia and I have a 2018 LC200 VX, and I just picked up a used set of King 2.5 front shocks for it.

Before I install them I would like to know the following please from others who run them:

1. What is the distance between the top cap and the top coil adjustment nut, and/or how many threads are showing in this area? Is it different left-to-right?
2. What distance do you have from centre of wheel to lip of guard measured straight up vertically? I am shooting for 570mm or around 22.25 inches. I believe standard is 500mm or 19.7 inches
3. What spring rate are you running? My shocks came with 700lb springs and I run an ARB style front bar and second battery, one day will have a winch

Which engine do you have? Most on this board will have the 5.7L petrol V8 which is much lighter than the diesel, if that's what you have. This will significantly impact preload to lift ratio. 600# springs are standard in this application, with people here with the 5.7 still running 650s or 700s depending on armor/winch/skids and other build specs.

That said yes most of us do have to run slightly different preload left to right to level the vehicle.

Good point! I have the 4.5 Twin Turbo Diesel, hopefully some Aussies or some others running diesels can chime in.
