Cruiser chick
For the past week everytime I stick my keys in they get locked and It wont start. What am I doing wrong. I have had my truck for almost a year and have never had this problem.

try turning the steering wheel while you jiggle the keys...
I agree with K_os....turn the wheel a bit.
Doubt the cylinder needs lube. Is the key bent?
DONT PUT ANYTHING LIQUID IN THE CYLINDER. It will gum it up eventually...leading to a worse situation.
If you want to use somthing...use GRAPHITE powder only.

like they said about turning the steering wheel, I usually once a year spray some silicone spray in the key holes or on the key first then insert, hope this helps!
You may have to give the steering wheel a good tug while turning the key.

If you have the wheel turned when cutting it off, you may have to give the steering wheel a good tug one way or the other while turning the key. This takes the 'load ' off the key lock.
It never hurts to apply some silicone to your lock sets; but this truck is too new to need that.
Next time it happens, give it a pull and see if that solves your issues with your FJ.

I agree with mudhunter. DO NOT use a liquid lube in the ignition or the door locks. As an ex-locksmith, I have seen first hand how much this can bugger a lock up by attracking dust, lint and other crud. If you must lube a lock, use powdered graphite. It does sound like there is steering column pressure keeping your lock from operating smoothly. Like someone else said, if you give the steering wheel a tug as you're using the key, it'll probably help. Good luck.;p
