I know this has been covered before, but i cannot find the information I need in the search, so here goes.
I have a remote keyless entry system I want to fit to my 62 using the existing door solenoids, problem is no matter how I wire it it does not work.
I tried every possible connection listed on the instructions and nothing, I wired into the switch feed in the drivers door, but think maybe I need to go to the relay?, any ideas.
Thanks

what brand?

I installed an autoloc system in my FJ80.

I wired to the drivers side door switch.

You have to remember the toyota switches are a little backwards. The common wire in the centre is the power wire. My autoloc instructions also showed me a diagram for a toyota.

This might go without saying but a MultMeter is worth its weight in gold in situations like these.

Yeah, I know I tried this, I have my multimeter, and checked everything out, but still no go.
I will start again, as maybe I missed something, but seems a bit strange, it's almost as if there is not enough power to trip the factory solenoids?
I was hoping someone had had a similar problem before and could shed some light on it??
I know people have talked about diodes and additional relays etc, but if anyone knows the 62's system please help.
Thanks

remote starter, keyless entry install

Any updates on this situation? I'm running into the same problem, can't get the keyless locks to function. I have two wires (green, blue) coming form the remote started/keyless entry system, when I hit the lock button on the remote I get 12 volts on the green wire, I hit the unlock button on the remote I get 12v on the blue wire, any idea how do I hook these up to get the locks to function?

I tried every possible way of wiring it with the remote box, but could not get it to work, in the end I used a couple of relays and used the control box to trigger them, took about 30 minutes once I had the circuits worked out.
I will see if I can find a diagram for you.
