Key compatible ? 2002 vs 1999 Lx470

Hey Guys,

Question - I have a '99 LX 470 and have 1 master Key - I am looking to get a spare.

I found a 2002 master on Ebay - are they compatible ?

Early LX keys had the long blade and later LX's had the shorter blade. I can't recall which year they changed but I am guessing 2000?

Edit: I'm not 100% sure but I think there are at least 3 different keys for the LX.

98-99 Long Blade Key
01-02 Short Blade
03-05 Medium Blade

Not sure which key they had in '00

Thanks for the info - I think your right - they must be different - they guy on Ebay THOUGHT they would be the same
