Ordered an HID conversion kit. Stock bulbs call for 55watt. Will 35watt work without any issues?

Stock bulbs are halogens. HIDs usually come in 35w, they use less power and put out more lumens. Whether your factory projectors can use the lumens effectively or not is another thing. I am assuming the focal points btw the bulbs are different so it won't reflect the same way the stock bulb rendering it a useless mod. I don't have any experience personally but my cousin had a hid kit in his and the output was about the same except it looked white-ish/blue.

To me they are useless. I would do a projector retrofit along with the hid kit.

When I get my hands on a set of the Depo one piece housings for my 98, I'm fitting some rx330 projectors.

^ there will be a lot of people who've installed quality HID systems - and have actual experience - in their LX projectors who will not agree with the above. I guess everyone's mileage and methods vary.

HIDs have to be an improvement in light output compared to what I'm currently using. I'll post some before and after pics...

Other than the fsm there is Daniel Stern's website that explains, with decent images, how to correctly vertically aim US DOT VOR low beams. Just went from 4300k to 5000k (35w) last week and found that with the myriad of web info available on aiming headlights only a few sites (like Sterns) discuss the differences in the vertical aiming of VOL, VOR (LX low beam) and EU spec lights to ensure you have the best visibility and aren't dangerous to other road users.

Thanks for the information. I definitely do not want to blind oncoming traffic, or generate unwanted attention from the police.

I just found out that Middle East LX has Glass headlight whereas US model has plastic one. After using it for almost Two years, I noticed ( bunch of tiny cracks inside the headlight) which means to ME Glass one better than the Plastic one.

Paddo, is your method still valid with adjusting the headlight? 34 inches at 25 feet away?
I adjusted it to that and in dark highway, doesn't seem to spread further as I though it would be.
should I try 35 inches height?

It's valid if you have US DOT VOR headlights and the horizontal axis of your low beams is exactly 36 inches. Check out danielsternlighting.com for specific details and see how that fits in with your headlight housing design, actual lamp horizontal axis height and country specific requirements. It's not ideal to adjust to generic measurements.
