K40 Radar Detector (1 Viewer)

It appears many of the LX470's came with these as dealer-installed in the vehicle like mine has.
Granted its 15yrs old (mine is an '04) but it still works well and has sensors in the front & rear.
Question please - I'm getting a consistent beep followed by 2 softer beeps every 30s or so. No lights are flashing or K/X brap or buzzing and the radar function does work when a cop goes by.
Any idea what the consistant beeping is? I've contacted K40 and my local shop to no avail.

I'll have to dig up the manual - but 2 beeps usually means one of the sensors is not working, but can't remember how to tell between front or rear - not sure on the one constant beep, though. Check the connections at the sensors - they seem to act up during cold weather and they can also loosen a little over time.

From the interwebs that I saved before - this info is correct as I've had to work on both sensors before...hth.

-If the beep is one beep every 30 secs then the front radar detector is not working. If it beeps 2x every 30 secs the rear radar detector is not working.

thanks, I'll check both front & rear sensor as I'm getting both of your descriptions, interestingly enough I'm getting alerts from both when seeing a cop so they're working somewhat obviously

LOL- I wished my 100 was quick enough to justify a laser jammer or radar detector.
