This week I added a SleeOffRoad rear bumper with ladder and spare tire assembly, an ARB Combo front bumper, OME 1.5" Lift kit, (2) Light Force Blitz 240 lights and a new Optima Battery. I am considering the K&N cold air intake and the stainless steel Borla exhaust. I have heard that the new K&N system is very noisy and the Borla exhaust sounds great, but performance is negligible. Anyone added these to their 100 series or know if it is worth the expense for these items? As always, your comments and knowledge is appreciated.

General rule of thumb is that intake and exhaust are very low bang for buck items. If you really want the sound, get a muffler welded on for cheap. For performance gains, i personally wouldn't spend the money.

The K&N is really loud, that's why my login is 1loudLX. I've since removed it for the snorkel but the name remains. I wish woody would let us get ONE name change.

K&N , Borla exhaust ... worth the expense for these items?

For the same cash you can just push harder on the accelerator for a while. :D

I think the header group buy might be the best performance option. They have to be more efficient and flow better than the stock headers. And you are at least replacing a part known to fail occasionally. Putting a new exhaust on the stock pieces seems like a total waste.

Pics are coming...
I was waiting until some minor body damage was repaired. It's going to the body shop on Monday and will be out sometime next week. The pics will be on shortly thereafter. I've wanted to own and modify an LC since I was in the 10th grade (20 years ago). This has been an exciting week, putting it all together. Standby for the photos...Thanks.
