I had met a member from here who helped me out of a very tight spot a few months ago. Shfd739 helped me repack and retorque my 80's axle bearings so I could drive back to Laredo, because it was ridiculously loose. I haven't had a chance to repay him yet, as life has been exceptionally crazy recently. But things are going smoothly now. I was hoping to make it to his last wrenching session, but was unable to make it.

Just wanted to pop in and say hi to everyone. I keep checking this forum so I can eventually make it to one of your meetings / wrench days!

Hey Bart! I'm still so-so on the cruiser! Ha, I finally put ALL the parts in, including quite a few extra.. but she's running great now. I don't remember, do you have a rear tire carrier on your 80?

956 area code is right. I still have a brother, sister and the in-laws there. we go to Laredo about every 3 months or so, a lot more during hunting season, except this year, been very busy.

Meetings are the last Tuesday of the month at the Rudy's on 183 around 7pm. There is also a Cruisers and coffee once per month on the 2nd saturday (or so) and occasional wrench-fests.
