Just rescued/adopted a 2005 LX from doing hard time in the Hills of Beverly.

STOLE IT

Have to agree, you did steal that puppy. Congrats! Looks just like mine. Favorite color for a 100 LX.

Awesome Awesome deal @trizzo !! U stole it!!

Don't forget to order a copy of techstream with mini VCI off eBay for ahc/damping tuning, personalized settings adjustments (wiper delays, door locking, DRL turn off, headlight delays, vgrs etc) and general diagnostics with freeze frame stuff ;)

Not to thread Jack but @PADDO , will Techstream work with an iPhone ?

Working on my initial one-banana project/punch list to knock out over the holidays for the LX. Any thoughts on things Im missing and could easily knock out? Im trying to set a good baseline on fluids and what not.

Grease drive shaft and u joints. I have similar list, and still working on mine 6 months after I bought the car lol...

Techstream in iOS? I wish :) it was released around 32 bit and is pretty much limited to the older MS OSs, or running under their emulators, and a serial interface afaik. I have it running on a 15 yr old Dell I resurrected.

What's the long term plan?

great question. so far, just looking at doing a mild build, i.e. larger/more aggressive tires, removal of running boards, upgrade some electronics, and have some fun on some moderate trails and use it to go camping. not sure how much that will change as the project begins.

It is quite capable in stock trim with beefier tires.

What a steal... So, what would have been a "fair" deal on this rig - $21K?
I'm looking at a local 2007 LX with 100K that looks pretty mint for $26K - I'd snap it up at $20-21K, but $26 seems a bit high, even given the Seattle premium these rigs get...???

its high, you could import from a southern state for a lower price + transport costs and still make out.

FWIW, my pristine 2007 LX470 with 120k miles priced out at $27k+ in July after being rear ended, so assume $24-26k from dealer would be about right. Private party at $24k? This is in San Antonio.

Easy sale in that price range around here.

my Hundy slowly but surely is making its way across the county via transporter. i think the driver stopped for a tire or oil change this morning for 2 hours at a tire/lube spot in Kingman AZ. safe travels little buddy, see you Monday!

Maybe the driver hooked you up with some new fluids. ;)

i hope not! ;-) i was looking forward to that stuff over the coming weeks!

looks like he had a delivery in Muskogee OK a few hours ago. currently has the hammer dropped heading thru Joplin toward St Louis and hopefully eastbound to the Ville!

Surprise surprise, my LX arrived 2 days ahead of schedule this afternoon, all the way from LA. The driver didn't pull out of their depot until 7pm Wednesday night.... I don't even want to know what type of logbook shenanigans took place. I know he wasn't sleeping much based on the GPS tracker I tucked into the truck!

Thanks for the 3 ratchet chains in the front, slamming the front end! As soon as he released them, the truck leveled and was good to go.

Grabbed a quick underbody shot. Can someone tell me if this much rust/corrosion makes the LX unsafe? :steer::steer::steer:

Congrats and enjoy the LX!
