Up Coming Runs & Events

Big Bear Run!

The official Big Bear Run will be Saturday June 20, 9:00am @ Big Bear Discovery Center (located next to Ranger Station on highway 38, just before Fawnskin), the 20th seems to work better for the SoCal members who got back to me, (do note that the 21st is Fathers Day)

Trails that are confirmed OPEN, and would be fun, Gold Mountain (Difficulty level: 3+) and based on the group size and ability, John Bull (Difficulty level: 4+) or Jacoby Canyon (moderate 2)

Even though we are gearing this as a day trip, those who plan on camping have a choice of:

Holcomb Valley Campground (3N16)
Serrano Campground (on Lake, across from Discovery Ctr)
Pine Knot Campground (at base of Snow Summit)
Hanna Flat Campground (is open, but expect fire damage)
Anyone who is planning on Camping should call The Big Bear Discovery Center for more information (909) 866-3437

For more info and RSVP: contact Chris Farmer: (714) 745-1187 or farm714@yahoo.com

Hey guys, a couple buddies of mine did the Death Valley trip with you guys( red stock 80) and are planning on doing the Big Bear Run coming up. Mind if I join you? I am a member of TLCA and Copper State Cruisers here in Arizona.

AZrider,

Don't mind at all, just like Tony said, "the more the merrier"......
If there are any changes on the Run, we will post them up here or on the website, Link>>> Southern California Toyota Land Cruiser Association

Hey Tony, haven't seen you for awhile, it would be great if you and your boys made it up to Big Bear!

Chris

Chris,

I have been on duty the last 2 meetings, but I am ready to hit some trails with the 40. I will need to check my schedule and figure out if I can make the Big Bear Run. I have been driving the 45 around town running errands, I love that thing!! I will bring to the next meeting.

Tony,

Sounds good, look forward to seeing your 45.

Next meeting is the second Sunday of July (July 12), due to the 4th of July falling on the first weekend. We will also not be meeting at Hamburger Express. We will be meeting at the north end of Bolsa Chica State Beach around 2:00, for a club sponsored BBQ. Details are on the club website. You will most likely receive an e-mail reminder when the event gets closer....
