This is our 2nd official club run of the year. Not only is it nearby for the Gallatin Valley folks, but it is also one of the most beautiful.
As usual this time of year in the mountains, snow will be in question. But hey, that is part of the adventure. There are no guarantees on how far we will get, but there are a fair amount of options to explore in this area if we run into any show stoppers (“snow-stoppers” maybe?...I digress).
Any caravan plans will be left to those going, and the same goes for anyone interested in camping.Otherwise, at a minimum, plan to meet up at the gas station in Norris by 10 am. If some proposes we meet in McAllister, that can be an option too. As usual, bring your comm.s, and GRMS is our required minimum while many will be using HAM. A few more specifics will be shared a few days prior to the weekend. This announcement is to ensure you capture this on your calendar and are prepared for the day.
***(6/3/24 UPDATE)****
After some brave recognizances of @geo5 and @4gotalot this weekend, we have determined it is best to move this trail run to pipestone! Yes, there was a lot of snow, AND there was some other logistic issues with some new mine claim holder (things in process of moving/changing). So for the new plan, we are specifically running from Hay Canyon (raod), north of the Whitehall exit, to Ringing Rocks. It is still best to use this forum to comminate on final meet up (or camping details). Unfortunately, I cannot make this run, but I recommend that a good meet up spot on the way out of town is the Albertsons parking lot in Belgrade at 9am. Please jump in on confirming best plans for meeting up as a group.
