Was told along time ago, and i follow it.

If you have nothing nice to say then say nothing.

With that being said do a search on Mud bout them. Some have had good and others are like me.

thats a no...

It doesn't look like too many people have a good experience. I tohught the price seemed way to cheap. Thanks for the help.

Maybe they have gotten better with all the complaints? Maybe I got lucky...But I ordered about a dozen small parts for my 60 from their website about 2 weeks ago, and had a tracking number emailed to me within hours...no BS..like 2 hours. Parts showed up the next day.

I was impressed.

Just my experience.

And in no way am I affiliated. (cant even spell the word..ha ha)

I've said this before, and I'm in the same boat with Kyle. I've had no problems with them. Got my waterpump, slave cylinder, some seals, bushings, drum brake components, front axle rebuild kit, with no problems. And, these were all multiple orders...

I ordered my ignition switch from them and it was on my doorstep before I even remembered to look up the tracking number...

I think they've gotten a bad rap, but being an NC company we should be trying to help them out.

the darn parts showed up before I was ready to use them even. I get so used to everything being West Coast and 5-7 days away.

I tried them about 15 years ago and got the run around then. That was it for me. I will not put them down but will not use them either. I hope they have changed but i see too much on here bad about them still.

not that this means anything but i drive by their facility several times a month for work, its only 20 min from my house. I have NEVER seen a cruiser of any kind there. Im sure the guys own some but ive never seen them at their work.

Joe and Jon Turpin grew up where I did and I knew/know Joe. They are a good family and I have always had good experiences when I ordered from them. Their business really took off and I think they really got into A LOT of other areas other than LCs. I think they have now gotten ahead of the business growth. I haven't personally ordered anything from them in a LONG time, because it got to the point the parts I was needing weren't exactly off the shelf stuff, plus w/ the FA Toy discount, OE parts were similarly priced and they are a sponsor. I am neither endorsing or defaming them in either way but I say it's worth a shot to give them a chance if they have the part you need.

The first 40 I ever saw up close was one of their's when I was in high school and I remember thinking they seemed a lot like a tank. I haven't talked to those guys in years, but coincidently Joe "friend requested" me on FB a couple of weeks ago.

harness...

I called up there yesterday and got the scoop on the harness. THe reason it is so cheap is that a local guy is making it.

Where do we get this toyota discount from? Do they still sell oem harness?

Thanks

You may also consider plan B. If you are any good at wiring at all you know that the wiring in the 40 is basic at best, bare minimum. You can buy something like a basic hot rod wiring harness that hass all the required circuits and adapt it to the FJ.

You'll have to add terminals etc but it may be a good way to solve your problem. This is the direction I am planning on going with my truggy.
