was wondering if johnny joints were any good or not?seen good and bad about them.i want real world opinions about them, not just hearsay.thinking about doing adjustable uppers and beefy lowers on my 80 for my 6" lift im installing, any input is great help

nice unit, kind of a PITA to assemble and take apart but...

I am using a single threaded JJ on the tip of Bob's wishbone rear..

I've got a couple of the forged ones and will be using them on all of my links.. they seem pretty stout, there's a neat tool for sale on the PBB that makes taking them apart a breeze.

I'm using the 1" shank on the uppers, and the 1.25" shank on the lowers.

hey mace how did you compress the bushings enough to get the retainer snap ring in there? with mine I had to use a big c clamp and hudge sockets to compress the bushings enough and it seemed like a bad way of doin it.

Easiest way.. a piece of 9/16" allthread and some sort of "cup" on either side..

go to town with an impact..

I prefer RE joints for methos of assy.. But there is nothing wrong with the JJ's...

what is the total width and throughbolt size on the 2" and 2.5" jj, as well as the re joints. looking for something around 2 3/8?

I believe that both of them are about 2.5" and use a 9/16" bolt..
