Maybe we should start a hiring thread?? I was going to post up for part time positions that I have open. Not trying to hijack but I wasn't sure of the etiquette of job postings here. I certainly trust mudders and mud-related mud people than the general un-muddied masses.

LETS KEEP THIS JOB POSTINGS ONLY!!!! Chat replies will clog everything up and defeat the purpose of the thread. PM people if interested.

Wine industry- part-time sales reps needed (labels)

Hi everyone,

I have started a wine company called Custom Grapes. Our website is www.customgrapes.com (still working on it)

We create personalized wine for any occasion. We offer organic wines from Chile and regular wines from California with a customized label. Our biggest customers are brides for their wedding, real estate agents, charities (fundraising), small businesses, party planners, and more.

We are seeking part-time label consultants. Consultants work in their free time to find customers to build long-term relationships with. The consultant helps the client with label and design ideas and guides them through the simple label process to completion.

Networking and communication skills are important. Sales skills help but are not required. Positive attitude and someone who can converse with anyone will succeed.

It's a very simple process. For example, say your friend runs a real-estate office called Ironpig Realty. Talk with them about having an office label done up with an iconic picture of their town with a caption that reads "Welcome home from Ironpig Realty!" Custom Grapes creates a proof of the label for the customer then labels the wine bottles of choice for the customer. We then fedex the wine directly to the customer so you don't need to handle or deliver the wines. The Ironpig Realty office then gives out the bottles to buyers and sellers at every closing or to key customers around the holidays. Easy. Historically realty offices buy 5-10 cases (60-120 bottles) at a time. Other businesses buy in the same manner as well for gifts and advertising.

Every time Ironpig Realty calls the office to re-order, the consultant will be paid a commission ongoing. Consultants get paid at a commission level which is 4X higher than the average full-time wine sales rep. The consultants are paid monthly and receive a 1099 form at the end of the year. This is NOT a tiered sales system (No MLM) and you are not expected to recruit anyone.

The sales goals are ridiculously low (annual) and basically you'd have to be dead not to hit them. Also, you do not have to do in home tastings. Plus, there are no territories. Once you land an acount anywhere, it's yours and assigned to your consultant number.

Fund-raising is a huge aspect of what we do. Think of every historical society, Rotary club, golf tournament, school, church, etc that does fundraisers. We have some great programs in place where you can help the charities raise money and get paid to do it.

If you are interested you can email me at john@charitywines.com. If you have friends that you recommend that are interested, feel free to pass this on. We are looking for reps nationwide.

It's a fun job and you can put as much or as little into it as you want.

Thanks!

John

Fire Marshal looking for work, preferably in a college, university or hospital setting. 17 years in the business. I got laid off last week. Yale only has 17 billion left and apparently doesn't feel that their students safety is worth as much as their endowment.

If anyone knows of anything, I'd appreciate a heads up.

that sucks. sorry to hear it.

My wife got let go last week. Again.
