Hey guys... Made one of these for myself and I'm rather happy with it.... Was thinking of possibly making some for sale. Holds two Jerry cans/scepter cans whatever, sticks out no farther or lower than my 285/75/16 spare tire. Very sturdy but still pretty light. Mine is powder coated but it could be painted or sold bare metal for you to finish.

I just went with two hooks to use a ratchet strap to secure the cans, I can easily make it with a bar and lockable hasp if preferred (would be a small premium)

This is on a BIOR second swing arm, but I'm sure the slee and arb ones wold be very similar if not identical. I would price it roughly at 375 for a powder coated on, 325 for a painted/bedliner one, and 310 bare metal. (All pre shipping)

Let me know what you think.

P.S. Yes I realize I was missing one bolt when I took these pics, I apparently mis counted while at the hardware store....the sixth bolt has since been put it. :). I would ships with all six bolts lol

Anything can be done. There are just compromises. 3 side by side wouldn't work on the short swing out since it would block the left taillight. 3 side by side in the longer swing out would be fine but then you couldn't mount your tire.

3 in front of each other could be done but its going to stick out farther than the tire. Plus that's 105lbs of liquid which would put a lot of tq on the mount because its another 8 inches out than the tire is even. Not that I don't think my design couldn't handle it, maybe use a little thicker steel on the upright but that's all.

You could do 4, 2 stacked on top of 2 but them you loose rear visibility and getting to the top ones may be tough. Again, easily done just compromises.

I had the need for two cans so that's what I built. Plus I didn't want it to obstruct my view any more than my tire already did so I kept it even with the bottom of the glass.

This is what immediately came to mind for me. But instead of having the access for the cans on the top half be on top, you could make a mount so that they clip into the top of the holder with their handle and you access the cans from the bottom. Just an idea...

I like your design though! Seems robust from the pictures.

I would probably just make the front of it swing out, hinged on one side so you could slide them straight in from the front then clamp it closed....but yes I agree....putting them in from the top wouldn't be practical

Seems like something that would be feasibly practical... I'd love to see it done, and would do it myself if I had a rear bumper to put it on

Let me know when you get one. I'd be glad to make you one ;)

Haha that could be years down the line, I wasn't planning on a rear bumper. Still just need to get sliders and then maybe a front bumper (waiting to see SouthernSS's final design). If/when I get one though, you'll be the first person I contact for can holders! :p
