For those that remember Jeff's 3'rd is the charm Diff assembly, there was an issue in that the new axle had a totally different bearing race area that Jeff couldn't figure out. I don't know if he ever did.... but.....
I'm searching around trying to find diff info due to the new 40 issue, and found this thread with this caption and pic:
Finally installed the Detroit this weekend...also found out about the two different axle designs.
Notice the pressed on race and the slightly smaller button on the left axle
