We had a good time at the Jeep Jaunt yesterday weather was nice and we had a good group that met up for breakfast and then worked our way across the street to get in line at the Jaunt. We had asked JayCee to line up behind his group so we weren't in the back of that long line to get into the Casino when we got there. The look on some of those folks faces when they directed the Toyota's to the front row where everything was going on was priceless. I don't know that having that choice spot worked out for the best because we ended up being asked to help with the road warrior tasks of going out before the group to block off intersections. We were the only group loose from the mass of vehicles in the middle of the parking lot. Our group huddled and agreed to take on the task. Thanks to Jonathan and Baker they took lead and knew the officers in New Iberia to communicate with. I won't say it was fun doing the road warrior part but I did get a different perspective watching the 350 vehicles parade by on the route its a pretty impressive turnout for event that is doing great things for the lung association in Louisiana. One of the lung association members said this event put on by JayCee and the Falcon family in their mother's honor provides the majority of their funding revenue in this region it was very positive stuff. The company was good, food was good (nothing to write home about), the indoor pavilion was nice regardless of the weather though it would have been a great day for it to be outdoors. The event raised a bunch of money in the auction and they did have a few neutral door prizes that was nice. JayCee spent several minutes thanking Bayou State for the participation and stepping up to help. Of course he got in his Toyota jab as he always does but taken in good fun. A few of our LA4X4 and AWOL friends made the trip to support the event. In all it was a good day and I think Bayou State earned more credit (not that we need it) as a contributing club in the community and I thank those that came out to be a part of it

Certainly agree bud, if it fits our schedule I hope we can get more of us to the event next year I think we'll get a warm welcome. I told Paul I think we should put it in the budget to buy a $100 item to donate to the auction in Bayou State's name and also talk to Mike at B&M ahead of time in donating a winch. There is no reason why our local shops like B&M and Cajun Offroad can't contribute to that event when Light Line sends over a ton of stuff :meh:

agree our local shops could do somthing ! i can get us a great deal on some rigid lights to donate like asmaller set is like 100ish bucks,

I wanted to make the ride but we had the neighborhood fall festival. If things go according to plan I can drive the forty next year.

That would be awesome bud, we'll try to put together a few things next year :)

Sorry we missed you Jude it was a beautiful weekend to be outdoors. Drive the 40 next year  I like the idea  I hope I can get motivated and have the 74 ready for SCC next year as well but I'll make sure to either have the 80 or Sequoia as a backup just in case I don't  Your 100 is a good backup too ;)

Jaunt shirts are in I'll pick them up tomorrow afternoon, he thanked us again for out help.
