Hi everyone,
So here's the situation:
I am working on a project to retrofit an A442F tranny from a '94 FZJ80 (petrol) into a '97 FZJ80 (petrol). The '97 originally came with the A343F tranny here in the US. After examining the wiring diagrams, I'm thinking the easiest way to do this would be to get an integrated ECU from a JDM 96-97 FZJ80 (which came with the A442F) and which should also have all the necessary EGR equipment (minus perhaps the temp sensor- no biggie there).
So, I need to find a way to get:
1. The 2-3 pages of the JDM EWD (electronics manual) for the '96-97 FZJ80 titled "Electronically Controlled Transmission" or similar. (I need this to verify the signals/wiring will be compatible)
2. A (preferably used but working) JDM '96-97 FZJ80 integrated ECU (verify it has EGR)
Please let me know if any of you have access to the needed pages of the FSM, or if you can get me a used ECU that fits the description above or know of a way to do it. I've already contacted mot about this. Any help would be greatly appreciated, including if this should be posted in another forum, then what forum would get the best response.
