Japanese Taco's

Does anyone know what the last year was that Taco's or at least their engines were built in Japan?

Dunno on the engines. I believe the body/chassis/interiors have always been made in Norcal, though I've heard of a plant in Mexico?

I agree with Cube, After '95 all the US Compact trucks did not come from Japan. The compact trucks in Japan retained the US '86-'95 IFS, that I know for sure.

i dont know much bout tacos but they are all made in fremont ca. at numi.

1995 trucks was the last year for importing Japanese made trucks.

At least through 2004 the engines were made in Japan.

There's a big difference between being "made" in NUMMI and being "assembled" there.

My 2002 Taco was hecho en Mexico.
