First workday of the new year will be January 26th. I do not know what the plans for this are yet but i DO KNOW that these are the ones we get the most work done during.

So i ask / beg of you please to come out and support our habit / trails.

I know that Janet will give free camping to any of the volunteers over at Arrowhead.

Since I want to at least hit three next year i'm going to make sure i'm at this one.... the only thing that will keep me away is a new job with possible work on saturdays.

So right now i'm pretty much committed to this one.

I am not sure if i will make it to this one but i will do my best.

I am trying my hardest to get someone from the USFS to walk with me on our trail so i can take pics / notes about what all has to be done. The Rangers husband has been pissing me off over on NC4x4 by saying we should already know. I really want to tell him where to go but i am holding my tongue.

Well, sounds like free range for us to do what we think needs to be done. :D

I think I'm off to Denmark that weekend...

I have a business trip the weekend prior, so not sure what things will look like schedule-wise. Still have to scheduled surgery for the pup and might be that week prior, which would certainly rule me out of everything for a couple of weeks. Will try my best.

I hope to make it....

I want to be more involved this year with the club, so I plan to start with this work day!

I would love to get the three of us involved, ..Darrin can you PM with some sort of 'day in the life' description for a typical workday in Uwharrie? Our family would be willing to commit to this every 3 months, I think it is important to impress the importance personal responsibility to my daughter - so Im just curious to the scope of work before I "volun-tell" her. If Ive missed an explanation somewhere in the club, point me in the right direction!

Right now it goes as this. On the big workdays ( trails closed) we will rent a Bobcat with an auger on it and go to town putting in metal guardrail. We will also fix log bridges and anything's that will tie up the trails. We will start our day at 0900 and work till the afternoon. I have as late as 1800 hrs but also as early as 1200 hrs. Not alot of trail running time but can get to ride some trails. Usually have some on some 4 wheelers run and do the diamonds. Remarking them for the year.

During the hot summer months it is usually only me and maybe one or two others and we do some trash pickup.

Now what my goal is for the new year. I would like to have a list made up between the USFS and either me or anyone else from our club on all the stuff on our trail that needs to be brought back up to standards and put in a priority style so we as a club can go work on our trail and knock these things out and get our trail up to snuff.

I would also like to see us as a group go up there and do this on any weekend we need / like to do it. Just let the USFS know we are coming and do some things on the list. Kinda like when we have these get togethers at the barn. Take a few hours one day and just do something good up there.
