Sounds good - just in time to talk about JAMBO 2011 in Gilmer.
I will be heading up there THursday around 8-ish...
Trying to get a Toy-a-van a group up.
I started a thread on TTORA in the Central Region.
Post there if want to plan to head up.
 
recently purchased a 71 fj40..new to all of this and am planning a frame off rebuild...any tips/tricks/pointers would be well appreciated. Also, where is the monthly meet? I'd like to join in and meet some of you and learn what I can
 
Yep - monthly meet.
Right now we are thinking of going to Longhorn Cafe on Blanco (near 1604).
Time - TBD.
 
Longhorn cafe inside the 1604 loop at 7p on the first thurs of the month
Lots of knowledgable folks in the club and on the site to help with any ? that arise

Come on by the meeting and introduce yourself.
 
I'll book the room. I think at this meeting we need to have some "real meeting business". I guess I'd like to know what people want out of this organization (or lack thereof). Over the last 3 years I've witnessed more club turnover than at my employee and most planned events have low turnout. This will be the meeting to voice your opinions and come up with a strategy to make your Land Cruiser experience something to remember.

FYI...I think we need to vote on a new meeting place.

Also, isn't January nominations?

Hey hope everyones Christmas was wonderful. I've been out of the loop the last couple weeks due to being out of town. Finally back in town and my better halts parents are in town... Anyways i doubt that I will be able to make it, finally having knee surgery Monday and gonna have some shrapnel removed from my side as well... Anyways, I found that longhorn is nice but I agree maybe every other month the meeting should be held somewhere different. I don't know about you all but I actually enjoyed the cove. I thought the food was damn good and the atmosphere was a little better. Anyways just my .02....

Welcome to the club timezone. If you ever need any help please feel free to get ahold of me. I'm a newbie as well and currently attempting to do what you want to do. I have a 73 as it is obvious in my name. I'm out by sea world, please feel free to stop and chat anytime..

Kevin what up? Sorry haven't gotten back to ya but I've been out of the loop. I'm not sure when I'll go to pull the tub off the frame, it will probly now be a month or two due to surgery. In the meantime, I have it all ready to go for the most part, just gonna have to do a little healing first. I think im gonna go ahead and have everything blasted and painted while I'm healing. I think I'm gonna just paint it all myself and what not. Should be interesting... Anyways ill try to make the meeting but I'm not sure how well I'll be able to drive since I'm having the surgery Monday.

I'm going to make it this time since the last meeting I attended was in Feb and I don't want to be "that annual guy."

Just tell Amy you need some "personal time." Allegedly it works when you are staying at your other half's parent's house and you don't want to come out of the bed room. :D OR just tell Amy to come out and everyone can be entertained with embarrassing stories of my tenure at Baylor.

I hope you are also recovering well!

I didn't see this last post regarding the party room until after the fact. I guess I missed the group. I arrived at 10 til 7pm at the party room and it was obviously a different group. Had a couple Shiner Bocks and hung out inside until 7:15. Did anyone end up coming? There were 8 or so guys in the corner that turned out to be a fantasy football group. Since I havn't met any of you (with the exception of Bart Brannon - mud name "shfd739"), I didn't know who to look for.

What if anything happened? I will try again next month.
