DBENKE, you going to do your LSD within next couple weeks? I ordered my aussie locker and will likely need some help if you are already going to be working on yours.

I plan on doing it myself just want someone to look over my shoulder...also is there anything else I should need other than diff fluid and maybe a diff gasket?

Get a set of side gear spacers (shims) just in case the ones Toyota put in are too thick or too thin. And read up on the install from mud. I can find a good link if you haven't seen one done.

Here is the part number for the .083" thrust washers to keep it from going clickity-clickity-BANG! all the time. It will still do it sometimes, just not everytime you pull into a parking lot.

Heated Shop

I have a space heater that will knock off the worst of the edge but at present the shop here is still unheated. While not necessary the transmission jack works like a charm for easing the diff around if need be.

But if you want to do it here(you should know by now you are always welcome) bring a couple of gas cylinders(uses same size as a gas grill) for the space heater and the bay and lift is yours. Doc

It will take you longer to drive to Glenn's and back than it will to put it in.

Shouldn't take more than an hour from start to finish.

The bumpers weren't for me.

Just don't ignore what I said about the washers being in spec. It will void your warranty on the locker if you ignore that step in the install. Plus it will drive like a piece of s***.

I think you and I are mirroring each other with our builds. I am about a days work away from firing up the old girl and then its just putting everything back together. Last I heard you were pretty close to firing up BT as well but like me have had to step away from it for a few months. Heres to a better 2010 and getting both our rigs on the road for the nice spring events.

DBENKE...anything you want or need me to bring....other than Aussie Locker, Diff Gear Oil, Grease, new rear axle seals, FIPG? If you need a floor jack, jack stands or anything else let me know. I am also bringing CO2 with impact wrench and couple other little things.

I think you said you have some spacers already...so should be good to go.
