Does anyone have Jack Stands that I could borrow. I need four to put under the parts rig for when I rip out the suspension this weekend. I'll need to be borrowing them for the foreseeable future as this thing isn't going to vanish overnight.

So does any have an extra set kicking around that they do not need??

Just redneck it up and grab some cinder blocks - ha!
Sorry man - no extras.

My HOA is the 8th legion of hell and Satan commands them

No 4x4 or bigger wood for wood A frame under frame?

It'll be in my driveway, If I could fit it in the garage i'd do that in there

I do have 2 sets Al. I need to keep the heavier set for some future work but I can go without the other set of 4. My concern is they aren't as stout as I liked when extended, the reason I bought a second set that are much more stout. I'd feel comfortable holding an 80 on them in a low setting but that would make it tight for you working on it.

At least one option for you to consider...

I also have a lightweight set that I might be able to loan you. Maybe they could be used in conjunction with Jerry's...

On a side note, if your HOA will throw a fit about cinder blocks, I bet they won't like seeing the truck there on jack stands day after day. You may need to roll some wheels along side or just some rollers (like the MTRs) to fill the wheel wells...

yeah i'm getting the feeling I need to get it in the garage somehow..... I was planning on covering it with a tarp though.....we'll see.

I bet if you put up a big sign "Crack Sale - 25% off, Heroin - 15% off" and hang a mobile of hubcaps from a tree and lay some deer carcasses on the lawn, the HOA won't care about the Cruiser. Just a thought.

the funny thing is they most likely wouldn't even cite me for that.... they just seem to hate normal people. Forget to cut your grass one week they try to fine you $100 but my crack head neighbor (and Brian and Brett have both seen this) will have a trailer in his front yard for three months with rotting garbage in it and nothing seems to happen to them. :ban:

This is what I have been doing. :grinpimp: My HOA also spawned from Satan.

Oh and an 80 will crush a cinder block like it is its job. (dont ask how I know):whoops: Really, it will.

If you want to leave it with Del I'll pick that stuff up. :grinpimp:

How close are you on the roof? You could air the tires down to get in?

OR... pickup a cheap set of those things that go under the wheels that you can push it around on? Drop it down to a set of just wheels if that will roll?

(Cheap 6 lug wheels/low profiles?)

But I cannot imagine the HOA being ok with jackstands and honestly I don't think they are safe over a long period of time. If you are going to leave it for a while, 4x4s as low to the ground as you can get it.

What about lowering it down onto the wheels themselves (laid flat on floor under the axles?)
