I was also going to suggest that
I didn't mean for it to come out as smart ass or anything like that. I do think that foot rest is available and seems like an easy addition (if you don't mind the reduced sq footage of the floor pan).
I think you’ll find that more times than not you will be resting your foot there anyway (at least I do) so adding the dead foot pedal might be the best option.
