It's time to install a New Oil Pan and Gasket... Question (1 Viewer)

So I've been leaking oil everywhere, especially when simply parked. It's between the skid plate and oil pan. Must be one of those spot welds. Anyway, I have a new pan and gasket. I'm using E6000 Contact Adhesive to secure the new gasket to the oil pan.

Do I need to remove this cover plate (towards the rear) to make for an easier install/better seal? Any other tips would be appreciated.
