I found a 98 gray with gray with 57k on it. No lockers, but very clean. It has a brush guard on it, but that's it as far as exterior accessories. I was thinking it might be a little high for a 98. What are your thoughts?

Who's selling it? A dealer or individual? I ask because a dealer has more invested and at stake, typically, plus they have on site financing, which some people need. They can and do charge more because of this.

Any service history? Receipts? How are the tires?

Look at autotrader.com, you can search 98 Landcruisers, it will give you the average price for your area or the whole country.

Miles are low. Where do you live? Geographic region has a lot to do with prices -- some areas are more expensive than others.

It's a Lexus dealer and that is their online internet price.
I live in Texas. SUVs are alot more here than other places. That's why I was thinking it was a good deal. Here's a picture. The tires are new, but not what I prefer.

Have they done any service? Is there a warranty with it? I would find out if this was a trade in from one of their customers, if they did all the service, or did they buy it at auction.

If they have all the history, I would probably pay that (or offer 21 for it with cash or pre-approved financing like Capitol One Auto Finance.

I couldn't get the link to work. I've heard from others that Landcruisers are least expensive in Texas.

Hmm it works for me...I'll try a different hosting site.

Might be the photo, but them tires look small.

I am in Dallas. Had a 98 w/75K miles for sale from Sept until I traded it last month (December 04). Cruiser was in great condition...will probably regret letting it go. But, I could not have the 98 and get the 02! Back to the point. I wanted 20K but ended up trading it in for 18,5. Just my 2 cents. Good Luck - Remember, it is a BUYERS market in Dallas right now.

I just paid $22,000+fees for a 2000 with 78,000 miles. Excellent mechanical and good exterior/interior...

Also looked at a private party 99 with 60,000 miles, locker, rear air - $20,000...

I think $19,000 would be good:)
