Is this the engine block drain?

Sure looks like a petcock type drain plug. I put drain tube on it but the plug won't budge. Thought I'd double check here before I start trying to apply more torque. I've rounded a plug before and don't want to go through that again.

Yes looks like it. There is one on the DS as well, but much harder to see.

Yeah that’s it. 10mm if I remember correctly. Just make sure your socket fits tight. Mine cracked loose with some drama.. typical long-term-tightened/heat-cycled bolt “crack” then there’s no torque on it anymore, but it was fine.
As sdnative said driver side is tougher to find. Not as much in front of the spring perch, closer to the middle/rear of it, better hidden by the head shielding.
