I am new to the LX470 world and have some questions. I have a chance to pick one up for $8500. It has 117000 miles on it. Been in a couple of collision that were repaired by body shops but looks great. It also has two codes right now
P0155 and P0440. What else should I look for? I am not new to Landcruisers. I own a 75' 40, and a 97' 80 and have owned many parts vehicle of theses two. Just like to know what you think. Thank you

Hello,
In theory that is a fantastic deal. However, if it is too good to be true, it seldom is.
P0155 is the 02 Sensor I believe and P0444 is a PCV error code.

I would take it to a body shop that you trust and have them look it over just to be safe. I would check out the Slee 100 Series Guide that is available in the FAQ for some solid 100 Series buying advice.
All the best,
Jack

If its a decent vehicle, seems way underpriced, but that doesn't mean anything. If it were me, I would see if I could take it to a dealer and have it checked out. Most dealers will do a detailed check out, but it will likely cost. If you end up at a body shop or a dealership, have them check the paint thickness all the way around. Some issues might be acceptable at that price.

buy it and join the madness

that truck if perfect would be easily in the 14-15k range

thats a lot of $$ for repairs and baselining the truck

ive seen much worse go for much more

i think youve already made up your mind in getting it and just want a confirmation

if you dont end up getting it, post a link to it and someone here will pick it up

whatever you decide good luck and keep us posted
